Greetings Lazy S Members and Friends!

It has been a long hot summer and extremely busy here in Southern Ohio.  I apologize for the long lapse in updates on this blog and I promise not to let this happen again.

I don't know about you, but I am ready for a weather change and for deer season to get here.  (Archery season is only a month away!)  I have most of the trails mowed and I am in the process of placing cameras and checking stands.  I'll be sure to report on the status of the mast crop this year and rubs and other deer sign as I spend more time in the woods.  I also will be taking the mower off of the tractor and replacing it will the tiller to get some food plots in the ground.

Many members have responded to the dues renewal request and following is a status update:

If you have not sent in your dues and intend to do so, please act quickly!  We are getting close to the maximum cut off point but still have room for a few more.

I had a conversation with Pete Shoephlin, who told me that he and Hope sent in their gate keys along with his membership renewal and has no way to access the Lazy S! I will be sending replacement keys back to Pete and Hope very soon.  While I have no way of knowing who else may be in the same boat, if you are a paid member and returned your keys, please let me know and I will make sure that you get access.  Note: Mark and I have decided to keep the same gate lock in place until the "wood cutting ball", when we will collect the old keys and issue new.

Speaking of the Wood Cutting Ball, we will be setting the date very soon and it will be posted on this blog!  Check back soon.
