Wood Cutting Event a HUGE Success!

Caption this...

A big THANKS to all who took time out of their busy schedules to lend a hand this past weekend to make the 2016 Wood Cutting Ball and huge success.  Nearly 2 cords of hickory and ash were cut, split and stacked in preparation for the coming fall and winter hunting. Many "out of towners" showed up for the event, and even the venerable and infamous Jim Bibby was there!

The work went quickly and efficiently thanks lots of hands, lots of chain saws and the use of two hydraulic splitters. (A special thanks to Chuck Breech and Mark Sizemore for bringing these along!)
After the work was done, what has been called "the best feast ever" (which is saying something for the Lazy S!) was enjoyed by all.  Mark Newman and his portable grill made sure we had many pounds of pork chops, venison tenderloin, pork tenderloin and all the fixin's to go along.

Before digging in, we had a tearful and funny trip down memory lane to pay tribute to Elmo, without who's generosity and vision, none of us would have been there!  Thanks Elmo, we miss you!
